TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :

The STAX 24 system can be used to construct hubs upto 192 ports with a repeater count of 1. Base units maybe chained together by a simple ribbon interconnection cable.
Each port has a display of LINK, Rx Data, Collision, Polarity and Partition for system fault diagnosis. LINK is permanently displayed, one status condition is switch selected.

UTP :- Conforms to 10 base T specification
AUI :– Socket conforms to IEEE 802.3
Expansion : A 10 way ribbon cable is used to connect units.
Two 10 way plugs are at rear of unit.
Up to 8 may be stacked.
Can be stacked with STAX 12F modular fibre hub
Controls:- 2 switches on rear for expansion termination. In any stack a switch must be set on at the physical ends of the stack. Both switches to be on in a single unit.

Indicators:- Each channel has an associated set of 2 LED indicators:
LINK -Red on warning link failed
DATA -Flash per data packet
PARTITION -Off if partitioned
COLLISION -Flash per collision
POLARITY - Auto corrects
Status :- One condition selected for display by status display indicator
