TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :

The VES 8030 Fibre Optic /AUI Repeater uses the latest technology to provide an economical solution for the connection of a fibre link to an AUI interface.

The repeater performs all the functions expected on an IEEE 802.3 Repeater:
Preamble reconstitutionFragment extension.
Data retiming . Auto – partitioning on segment fault.
Auto recovery on fault correction.

The unit is designed for optimum power efficiency and does not require assisted cooling, this coupled with its compactness allows the unit to be easily mounted on walls using VolAmp wall mounting brackets BRKT-1. The isolation and immunity provided by Fibre Optic Repeaters is such that it is common practice to isolate buildings via Fibre Optic cables and Repeaters thus avoiding earth loop effects and the hazards of lighting strikes etc.
