TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:
The VolAmp 100FU-PCI-E converts from copper to fibre medium without introducing any significant delay or data modifications other than that required by the relevant standards. It obtains its power from the PCI connector of you PC motherboard. The card links to the ethernet port on your PC via a suitable patch cable.
SPECIFICATION :
Twisted pair port
The 100FU-PCI-E accepts a standard 100 Tx input and converts to a standard 100 Fx output and vice versa. The card operates in half duplex. The RJ45 port connection can be configured as a converter or a hub to accommodate straight and cross-over patch cables.
Fibre optic port
The unit conforms to the 100Fx standard and will communicate with any equipment, which also conforms to the 100Fx standard and can operate in half duplex. Auto-negotiation is not possible on standard Fx systems, the 100FU-PCI-E operates in half duplex mode.
