TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :
The MR-2FBU4 Is a micro hub with the following ports 2xFibre, 1xBNC, 4xUTP. All ports conform to the relevant IEEE 802.3 specification ensuring compatibility with other vendors products. An extensive set of indicators is provided for system diagnosis. The micro hubs may be expanded with any member of the family to provide larger more diverse hubs, but still with a repeater count of 1.

Switches :- The two expansion switches are located at the side of
the unit.
In any system ; ONE UNIT ONLY MUST HAVE BOTH SWITCHES ON.

| LEFT | The down posistion connects the screen of the BNC socket to the case of the unit. It is not earthed throuhg the power supply as the supply to the 10BASE2 circuitry is floating. | ||
| RIGHT |
The down posistion connects a 50 Ohm termination resistor between the BNC signal pin and the BNC screen. |

| Side Panel | |||
| BOTH | The down posistion for operation as a single unit. If in a multiple stack only one unit should have the switches down, all other units in the stack should have both switches up. |
