TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :
The STAX 12F system
can be used to construct hubs from 1 to 96 ports with a repeater count of 1.
The user may add ports as this system increases or by having redundancy in the
base unit and modules. A system with very low down time is achievable. The STAX
12F system comprises a 19" 1U rack base into which are plugged individual
fibre modules. Base units maybe chained together by a simple ribbon interconnection
cable.
Each port has a display of LINK, Rx Data, Collision and partition for system
fault diagnosis.

In any stack a switch must be set on at the physical ends of the stack. Both
switches to be on in a single unit.
